“Too Big for Fairy Tales 2” is an engaging, humorous story for the whole family about the power of friendship, facing adversity and facing the truth. Favorite gaming trio is back! This time Waldek, Staszek and Delfina will experience a summer full of adventures in the Tatra Mountains. During the trip, Waldek accidentally learns that his father lives in the area, about whom he only heard from his mother that he abandoned their family a long time ago. The boy decides to find him at all costs and ask him personally about the reasons for this decision. Together with Staszek, under the cover of darkness, they set out to search. The dangers that await them on the mountain trail are nothing compared to the task that Delfina receives. A creative teenager must hide the truth about the boys’ disappearance from her unaware aunt, Waldek’s mother, and… her new partner. What disruptions will this secret mission bring to the lives of all the heroes? Will Waldek receive answers to the questions that torment him and understand his father’s actions?
“It’s a family film. A perfect idea for spending time together in a way that’s funny, moving and meaningful, and that there’s something to talk about after the screening,” says Karolina Gruszka. The actress again played the role of Teresa, the main character’s mother.
Her partner is played by Paweł Domagała, who explains why he accepted the role in the sequel to the family hit: “I really liked the first part. It’s a warm, charming and good movie. Besides, it’s one of my daughter’s favorite movies, so it’s nice to be able to impress my own child.” .
He also praises the young actors: “I will never say a bad word about young people again. I learned a lot from them, it’s very nice that they are self-confident. It turns out that maybe the generation difference is not that significant after all. We have similar dreams, and other means of expression. I am very encouraged and delighted to work with these young people.”
Michał Żurawski and Grzegorz Małecki also joined the cast. The crazy aunt Mariolka, beloved by viewers, will also appear on the screen. Played by Dorota Kolak, an actress, emphasizes that the film is also worth seeing because of the locations where it was made: “Places in the Tatra Mountains are so beautiful that they take your breath away,” she encourages.
“Too Big for Fairy Tales 2” is a continuation of the family hit that delighted critics, attracted crowds to cinemas and triumphed on VOD. Kristoffer Rus is responsible for directing the film, as in the case of the first part, and Agnieszka Dąbrowska is responsible for the script. “Too Big for Fairy Tales 2” will hit cinema screens on March 15, but fans of Waldi the Powerful the First can be carried away by the adventure on February 28. That’s when a novel with the same title based on the film’s script will be released.
