One of Taika Waitite’s latest films did not seem to appeal to critics. On Rotten Tomatoes we can see that there is a large disproportion between the ratings of critics and the audience (44% positive opinions and 84%). The film debuted in theaters in November 2023 and will soon be available on streaming.
The film is the story of the American Samoa national football team. The worst team in the world, which became famous for its spectacular defeat, losing 31-0 in the 2001 World Cup qualifiers, hires a last-chance coach, Thomas Rongen, hoping that he will reverse its fortunes.
The production will appear on Disney+ February 28, 2024.
