“The Acolyte” will debut on the Disney+ streaming platform June 5, 2024. The showrunner of the production is Leslye Headland, co-creator “Russian Doll” Netflix.
The action of the series will begin a hundred years before the events of the film “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace”. It will tell the story of a former Padawan who, together with her former master, tries to solve the mystery of mysterious crimes. It turns out that there are sinister forces behind them.
They played the main roles Amandla Stenberg (“The hate you give”, “Bodies, Bodies, Bodies”) and Lee Jung-jae (“Squid Game”). We will also see Manny Jacinto on the screen (“Good place”), Dafne Keen (“Logan: Wolverine”) and Carrie-Anne Moss (“Matrix”). Joonas Suotamo, who played Chewbacca in the recent films, will play the Wookie Jedi Master.
