In the new episode of her podcast, the actress revealed that she had started preparing for her own death. As she emphasized, she does it with her mother in mind.
“My priority right now is my mother. I know it will be hard for her if I die before her. And since that in itself will be very difficult, I try to make other things easier for her. I don't want her to have a lot of things to do, I don't want her to be left with four warehouses full of my furniture” – said the 52-year-old star.
Doherty is organizing things she has collected over the years. He intends to sell some of them or donate them to charity. The actress recently went to her family home in Tennessee, where she planned to build a place for abandoned horses.
“It was a really difficult and emotional experience because I felt like I was giving up on my dream of building this property. At one point I just burst into tears. My mom was there with me and she said I didn't have to get rid of this place” – revealed the star.
After returning to California, the actress realized that giving up the expensive renovation would be the most reasonable solution.
“Sometimes it's really worth letting go, because it brings relief and peace. (…) Thanks to the additional funds from selling my things, I can take my mother on vacation and spend wonderful time with her” – said the actress.
In January, the star revealed that she had already planned her burial.
“I want my ashes mixed with the remains of my dad and my dog. (…) I want my funeral to be a celebration of love” – the actress revealed then.
