The film takes place in a futuristic-medieval world where noble knights guard order. Boldheart (Riz Ahmed) is supposed to be the first of them to come from a peasant family. However, on the day of his martyrdom, he is framed for a crime. Only Nimona can help him cleanse his mind (Chloe Grace Moretz) – a shape-shifting teenager whose hobby is chaos and destruction. The film is based on the graphic novel by ND Stevenson.
“Nimona” was released on Netflix’s YouTube channel. Everyone can watch it for free. Over 700,000 people did it in the first 24 hours.
The film is competing for the Oscar for best feature-length animation. The winner will be announced on March 10, 2024.
