Eurovision 2024 will start on May 7 and last until May 11. This year’s edition will take place in Sweden exactly 50 years after the group’s legendary victory ABBA. Representatives of 37 countries will take part in the competition, including: returning after over 30 years of absence Luxembourg. Glow will perform in the first semi-final (May 7), and her competitors include, among others: representatives: Croatia, Ukraine, Ireland, Lithuania, Finland, Iceland and Cyprus.
Even though Luna’s song has good numbers on YouTube and Spotify, bookmakers are not enthusiastic about the Polish proposal. According to them, Luna is only 28th out of 37 countries to win.
Luna’s song still arouses emotions. Now Maja Hyży has spoken brutally honestly about him. Asked by a journalist Jastrząb PostWhat she thinks about the singer’s choice to represent Poland at Eurovision, she didn’t bite her tongue.
“Honestly? One would like to say: ‘tomato’. I won’t lie here – I don’t like the song, I saw her performance in Sweden. (…) I don’t think we’ll get too far this year, but of course I’m keeping my fingers crossed for her, because I know it’s a lot of stress and it’s also a big success to get to Eurovision. I started on my own and I wanted to get there” – she confessed Maja Hyży.
The singer, who also tried to get to Eurovision, revealed what TVP should do for Poland to succeed in the competition. “It seems to me that we need to start choosing something more ambitious, because we also want to go up. I think the level has dropped a bit recently” – added the singer.
Choice Luna and her song “Tower” caused a lot of controversy. The singer was not a favorite, and until the end it was believed that she would go to Eurovision Justyna Steczkowska. After choosing her younger stage colleague, she appealed to the fans.
“Don’t hate Luna, Please. It’s not easy to shoulder such responsibility, and if you trim its wings today, it will be difficult to rise above such heavy energy and put on a good Eurovision show. Keep your fingers crossed for her, just like I do. Good luck to the whole team!” – she wrote.
He also spoke about Luna’s proposal Maciej Maciejczakwith which she also won.
“I loved Luna for her magic and wildness, so her new Eurovision face does not appeal to me as strongly as her earlier work. I even invited her to a duet in the song ‘I’m not asking for more’ – he said in an interview with Pudelek.
She also supported Luna Blankawho additionally advised what the singer should do before the competition. “You can do it, first of all, you can do it. We keep our fingers crossed. And you get enough sleep, sleep a lot, sleep when you can and, above all, have fun. Have fun with it, it’s a great time” – she commented.
