The 23-year-old singer has been working on material for several months, which – as he himself reveals – is significantly different from his previous work. Kuba Szmajkowski he changed the label, cooperates with a new band and experiments with sounds that he has not had the opportunity to present to a wide audience before.
“It will be something completely different. The songs are radically different from what I recorded before. They are in Polish, English and even Spanish. In terms of genre, it is a mixture of Afro beat and dance,” he said in an interview with Grzegorz Dobek in “Pytanie na Śniadanie”.

The artist emphasized that after years of working in the pop genre, he wanted to show a new side of himself – more mature and emotional. The album’s premiere is planned for the first months of 2026.
Courage and authenticity instead of fear
In the fall of 2025, Kuba Szmajkowski decided to break the silence about his private life. In September, he published photos on social media with his partner – Emilio Araya, a Swedish choreographer and dancer with Polish roots.
“I am very brave and I think that now I am at the stage of my life when I am simply the bravest and I can feel myself, I can feel the music one hundred percent. I am very happy that you will be able to listen to it soon,” he confessed on TVP2.
Szmajkowski admitted that the decision to come out was not planned. It came naturally, as a consequence of the changes that took place in his life after a difficult period of health.
“I was sick for a long time this year and when I managed to recover, I promised myself that I would live one hundred percent and be one hundred percent myself. (…) I don’t want to hide anything and I want to be authentic and fair to my recipients,” he added.
A symbol of courage for the young generation
In Polish show business, open coming outs are still rare, especially among young artists. That’s why Kuba Szmajkowski’s gesture received a huge response online – both from fans and the music community. There were hundreds of comments on social media with expressions of support and admiration.
Psychologists emphasize that for young people who are struggling to accept their own identity, such public gestures are of great importance. – “Visibility in popular culture is an important element in building social acceptance. It is a signal that being yourself no longer requires hiding,” comments psychologist and activist Dr. Katarzyna Kłosińska.
A new chapter full of light
For Kuba Szmajkowski, the coming year will be a time of new beginnings – both professional and personal. The singer announces that his first album will be not only a musical experiment, but also a personal manifesto of courage and freedom.
“What I have prepared is me – in the full version,” he recently wrote on Instagram.
