Is there a chance for another series from the world of “Avatar: The Last Airbender”?

The success of the first acting season “Avatar: The Last Airbender” gives hope for the creation of further great productions from this universe. What is “The Legend of Korra” about and does it have a chance for a remake worthy of its predecessor?

Animated series “Avatar: The Legend of Korra” is a sequel Aang's well-known story. The production was created four years after the end of the last chapter of the story about the young avatar and also turned out to be a popular series.

“The Legend of Korra” action takes place 70 years after the end adventures of the airbender and his friends known from the animated series. Korra is the next incarnation of the avatar and, like her predecessor, she tries to master the four elements and establish a strong bond with the spiritual world.

The first season of the live-action Netflix series was a hit and received a lot of positive reviews. Why would continuing the series by retelling Korra's story be a good choice?

“The Legend of Korra” is a story that is not only a direct continuation of the beloved series, but also shows that New times require new skills from the avatarand, above all, adapting to increasingly demanding times.

Korra not only faces an advancing and evolving world – she also must come to grips with the greatness of Aang's legend and the hopes placed in her as his successor. “The Legend of Korra” can be a great, mature story about trying to live up to the example and the failures you have to suffer along the way.

However, this one production may not have an easy startthanks to the creators of the original animations.

Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko created both original animated series in the Avatar universe and initially expressed their interest in participating in the Netflix remake. After two years of cooperation the creators gave up working on the adaptation due to the changes the platform wanted to introduce. This is one of the reasons why DiMartino and Konietzko may not want to sell the rights to another adaptation.

However, before Netflix would start working on “The Legend of Korra”, it must first meet fans' expectations related to the two already announced seasons of “Avatar: The Last Airbender”, the success or failure of which will certainly have an impact on the possibility of creating another remake. .
