For the second time already Polish Feature Film Festival in Gdynia it appears The Master Five (check out the 2023 Champion Five) – once again, five filmmakers will talk about Polish films that are particularly important to them. The invitation to this year’s Five was accepted by: Olga Hajdas, Wojciech Marczewski, Andrew Seweryn, Mariusz Wlodarski and Malgorzata Zajączkowska.

Andrzej Seweryn chose “Cross-Eyed Happiness” Andrzej Munk, Wojciech Marczewski – “The Maids of Wilko” Andrzej Wajda, Olga Hajdas – “Total Eclipse” Agnieszka Holland, Mariusz Wlodarski – “The last day of summer” Tadeusz Konwicki, and Małgorzata Zajączkowska – “Imagine” Andrzej Jakimowski.
“After the great reception of the first Master Five, we have prepared another edition of this section. Once again, five exceptional filmmakers will allow us to look into the worlds of their fascinations, not only film ones,” he says. Joanna Łapinska, artistic director of the festival.
“I am already looking forward to these screenings and the attentive conversations that will follow, curious about the spaces they will take us to, ready for the discoveries and surprises they will bring,” she adds.
