The released scene takes place after a major battle at Cassandra Nova’s (Emma Corrin) base in the Abyss. Gambit is walking around the battlefield when he is suddenly illuminated by a fiery glow, presumably coming from a dimensional portal. The hero smiles at the sight of it.
A shortened version of the scene appears in the film’s finale on one of the TVA screens. Tatum himself confirmed that he has already spoken with producer Kevin Feige about appearing in another Marvel Cinematic Universe film. Time will tell if we will see him play Gambit again.

Participation Channing Tatum In “Deadpool & Wolverine” is a special case. Unlike the other actors who took part in the production, he played his character for the first time.
In 2014, it was announced that Gambit would be getting his own solo movie. Tatum even showed up at Comic-Con with other actors from the X-Men universe. However, the project was stuck in production hell. It was eventually canceled when Fox was bought by Disney. In Deadpool & Wolverine, Gambit even jokes that he feels like he was born in a vacuum.
After the premiere of “Deadpool & Wolverine,” Tatum posted two photos on Instagram Reynolds — from Comic-Con in 2014 and 2024. He recalled being at the convention when the actor introduced the first Deadpool video to the audience, adding that few people in the film industry have been as supportive as Reynolds.
“I thought I lost Gambit forever, but (Reynolds) fought for us. I’m forever grateful to him. I’m not sure I could ever do something that means as much to him as it does to me. I love you, man. And Shawn Levy, too. A brilliant filmmaker on every level. (…) I’m grateful to be in this movie. To me, it’s a masterpiece. And wild entertainment. I was literally screaming in the theater,” Tatum continued.
