In 2018, the legendary star of the British music scene embarked on his last concert tour, “Farewell Yellow Brick Road”, which concluded his career spanning over five decades. The world tour, covering five continents and 333 concerts, came to an end in 2023. The final performance of one of the greatest solo artists of all time took place on July 8 in Stockholm.
Over the past few years, John has prepared several surprises for his fans. In 2020, the two-time Oscar winner’s memoirs were released in bookstores “Me. Elton John’s first and only autobiography”. In the book, the star talked about his path to the top and the life changes that helped him find love and mature into fatherhood. A year later, the musician released an album “The Lockdown Sessions”which featured the singer’s duets with such stars as Dua Lipa, Nicki Minaj, Stevie Wonder, Gorillaz Whether Miley Cyrus.
The 76-year-old singer is not slowing down. John is currently preparing for an important event – the show will premiere on Broadway in July “The Devil Wears Prada”, for which the artist composed music. Currently, the singer is getting back into shape after a recent knee injury. In a few weeks, the artist will undergo knee replacement surgery in the other leg. “He’s doing really great. He’ll have new knees by the time summer comes. I think you’ll see him breakdancing next year,” Furnish said jokingly.
