Will Poland face embarrassment at Eurovision? “What did you have in your heads?”

On February 19, TVP announced that she was the Polish representative at Eurovision she stayed Aleksandra Wielgomashiding under a pseudonym Glow. As revealed on eurowizja.org, the decision to select the Polish woman for Eurovision was made by a five-person jury. It included: Kasia Moś, Piotr Klatt, Michał Hanczak, Konrad Szczęsny and Łukasz Pieter.

The jurors selected 10 items and gave them points on a scale from 1 to 10. It turned out that Luna’s proposal – “The Tower” (listen) – received 34 points, a Justyna Steczkowska with the number “WITCH-ER Tarohoro” 33 points. They took third place in the voting – with the same result – Marcin Maciejczak and Dagadana and Kayah a song from the movie “Chłopi”.

Luna showed herself to the international audience during “Melfest WKND Pre Party 2024” in Stockholm. Let us remind you that Sweden will host this year’s competition.

The recording of the event went online, and Internet users immediately started commenting. “Unfortunately, Luna lacks stage experience – a positive girl, but her vocal skills and hitting the notes are a failure. This is Bejba’s level. These are the consequences of focusing only on the radio quality of the song, and not on the artist or her experience. She will not be 70% successful from the semi-final”, “Even though I wasn’t a fan of this song by Steczkowska, I just imagined her entering this stage and literally taking it apart. With her presence, manners and vocals. Instead, we have a kindergarten performance for the Spring Festival”, “A lot of work ahead of Luna. This one the performance showed her major vocal deficiencies. It’s a pity, because I had already accepted what was, in my opinion, a wrong choice, I wanted to give Luna a chance and I was hoping that perhaps the song would benefit from a live performance after introducing vocal changes compared to the monotonous studio version. Unfortunately, so far it has we’re taking it back”, “Jesus, the backing vocals are drowning her out, and she probably hasn’t had to deal with a serious stage before. Half of the sounds are too low for her… Poland, what were you thinking when choosing her” – they wrote (original spelling ).

They also added that everyone, not only the jury, should vote for the representative, and that there was no pre-selection concert this year. Maybe it’s time to kick these ‘experts’ out of choosing the songs and give the people a voice?” they asked.
