Series “Desperate Housewives” debuted in 2004 and almost immediately won the hearts of viewers not only in the USA, but also in Poland. The action took place in the suburbs of the fictional town of Fairview and focused on a group of women who lead seemingly perfect lives, but hide dark secrets and struggle with various problems.

The main roles were played by: Teri Hatcher as Susan Mayer, Felicity Huffman as Lynette Scavo, Marcia Cross as Bree Van de Kamp, Eva Longoria as Gabrielle Solis and Nicollette Sheridan as Edie Britt.

The series became one of the most important television programs of 2000-2010, and its success resulted in many awards and nominations.

The showrunner of “Desperate Housewives” was Marc Cherry. He also took over as the main writer of the series. In a recent interview with People, he talked about the idea of returning to the town of Fairview. He’s thinking about creating a prequel.

“I would probably set it in an earlier decade. The character I miss the most is Wisteria Lane. It was the best playground in the history of television because the whole street was ours. I know it like the back of my hand. (…) Sometimes I wonder could I write about Wisteria Lane, but in 1966,” said the creator.

Cherry also confessed that “about 70,000 people” asked him about the reboot of the cult series. “The truth is that I have a few ideas on how to make it,” he added.
