On the occasion of the group’s 60th anniversary Scorpions filmmakers are preparing a biography that will tell the story of the cult band. The film was titled in honor of one of the greatest hits of the German band, which after the fall of the Iron Curtain became an anthem of hope and community – “Wind of Change”.
A film biography of Scorpions is being created. Will the creators faithfully recreate the history of the cult group?
Many fans doubt whether the biography will faithfully present the Scorpions musicians’ path to the top. Fans of the rock legend are worried that the creators will focus on the sensation and embellish too much with the true story of the artists’ lives and careers. What do you say? Klaus Meine?
“In films of this type, so popular today, the basis is always a true story. But scriptwriters – especially when Hollywood producers have a hand in it – they do everything to strengthen the plot and increase emotions, using various tricks” – said the leader of the legendary group in an interview with “Teraz Rock”.
“But basically it will be a fairly faithful story about the Scorpions, from the very first days, from the very beginningwhen we were united by the dream of becoming part of a big international rock family. A dream that came true,” Meine added, reassuring the listeners.
Work on the film “Wind of Change” is in progress. What do we already know?
Behind the production of “Wind of Change” is a duo of creators: an actor, screenwriter, producer, wrestler and rally driver with Iranian roots, Ali Afsharand a French-born director known, among others, With “American Wrestler”, Alex Ranarivelo.
