“Unpredictable” is a story about people tangled in the tangle of life, navigating a labyrinth of challenges and a mysterious crime, where nothing is obvious. In the story, erotic tension intertwines with forbidden love, jealousy with revenge, and betrayal with lies.
The director of the film is Piotr Trzaskalski (“My bike”, “Edi”), and the authors of the script: Krzysztof Gureczny (“How I Became a Gangster. A True Story”, “Akademia Pana Kleksa”) and Małgorzata Sobieszczańska (“Angel and a Dog”, “Ordinary thing”). The project is based on the famous novel of the same title by Magda Stachula.
In the story, we follow the complicated fate of seven characters trying to free themselves from their own life cages. The moral thread is combined with the criminal thread, in which from the very first scene the audience asks themselves not only who killed him and why, but above all who died. It turns out that everyone has their own truth… A truth that is more terrifying than it first seems.
Martyna (Agnieszka Grochowska) and Wojciech (Paweł Małaszyński) create a seemingly happy relationship. However, this is just a facade hiding the cruel truth. The only person who knows her is Wojciech's father – Stefan (Andrzej Seweryn). Magdalena Cielecka played the role of Martyna's friend – Alicja, a single mother of 20-year-old Daniel (Dawid Ptak), who is dating Adelina (Julia Wieniawa). Adelina, despite her very young age, is on her own, taking care of her sick mother (Magdalena Czerwińska), and Daniel is her hope for a better life.
“Adelina is an extremely mature and serious heroine. On the one hand, full of hope, and on the other, a little disappointed with life. I am glad that I could play such a multidimensional character,” Julia Wieniawa admitted.
“Her perseverance and strength to fight against adversity are impressive,” added the actress, for whom this is another important screen role.
