Luna flew to Sweden for Eurovision. When will the first rehearsals start?

Just before departure to… Eurovision 2024 Glow met with fans and journalists at the Chopin Airport in Warsaw.

During this year's competition in Malmö, the singer will represent our country with a song “The Tower” (check!).

“The song 'The Tower' is about strength and freedom. It is a kind of manifesto. The song says that the greatest determination lies within us and it is up to us what kind of reality we will create. It can be both positive and negative “The symbolism of the tower is twofold. We can build it and grow thanks to it, but we can also fall from it,” Luna said.

The stage in the Malmö Arena is already ready – it was officially opened on April 25. The first rehearsals with the participation of extras (so-called stand-ins) are behind us. Technical tests will begin on April 27. The schedule follows the order of performances in the semi-finals, so the participants of the first semi-final will appear first (it will take place on May 7). That's when Luna will perform and compete for promotion to the grand final, among others. with vocalists from Croatia, Ukraine, Ireland, Lithuania, Finland, Iceland and Cyprus.

The first series of technical rehearsals gives each participant 30 minutes on stage. During this time, teams can present themselves several times and make corrections after reviewing the recordings. Luna will appear on stage after the break – just before 15.

The Polish team includes choir singers Marta Dywicka and Maciej Starnawski (this is surprising – they will be hidden off stage during the performance) and three dancers. They prepared the choreography for Luna's performance Julia Żytko (finalist “You Can Dance – Just Dance”) and the British Angus Simpson and Jordan Garcia. He will direct the whole thing Jerry Reevewho was responsible for the Eurovision performance James Newman in 2021. The Briton doesn't remember him very well – he took last place without even scoring a point.

The above-mentioned Starnawski appeared in the program “I am what I am” by Michał Wiśniewski – competed with, among others, Ivan Komarenka and Paulla. With a song “It's Not A Game” project Starnawski & Urban Noiz was included in the preselections for Eurovision 2008 (took 10th place). Currently, he appears on TVP as a chorister at various events (including last year's festival in Opole).

Marta Dywicka, in turn, is a vocal coach (she works, among others, at “The Voice of Poland”), he also leads his team Only you.

She is the head of the delegation Marta Piekarskaand she is the press chief Agnieszka Lenart. After returning to TVP, he will comment on the competition on this station again Artur Orzech.
