The Troops Of Doom recorded their second album “A Mass To The Grotesque”. When is the premiere?

The second album of the quartet from Belo Horizonte, of which he is a member Jairo “Tormentor” Guedzformer guitarist Sepulturarecorded in the Brazilian Audio Porto studio under the supervision of the producer André Moraes. The successor to the debut “Antichrist Reborn” from 2022 was mixed and mastered at the legendary Florida death metal studio Morrisound, supervised by Jim Morris. The author of the cover of “A Mass To The Grotesque” is a renowned British artist Dan Seagravewhose works are decorated with numerous albums of classics of the genre.

New LP The Troops Of Doomlike the debut album, will be released by the Portuguese Alma Mater Records, a label run by Fernando Ribeirosinger Moonspell. The premiere of “A Mass To The Grotesque” will take place on May 31 (CD in digipack, on vinyl and cassette, digitally).

Let us remind you that the above-mentioned Jairo “Tormentor” Guedz can be heard on Sepultura’s first two materials: the EP/split “Bestial Devastation” (1985) and the debut album “Morbid Visions” (1986). Guedz left Sepultura in 1987, making way for his seat Andreas Kisser.

The Troops Of Doom lineup is complemented by a guitarist and a recognized creator of many covers Marcelo Vasco; vocalist playing bass Alex Kafer (ex-Necromancer, Explicit Hate, Enterro) and drummer Alexandre Oliveira (also v Eminence).

“Chapels Of The Unholy”, the first single from the new material of The Troops Of Doom, will be released on April 14.
