The Scorpions delivered some sad news. “I can not”

Group Scorpions is one of the most appreciated representatives of hard rock. The German band has been performing almost continuously since 1965, and its frontman since 1969 Klaus Meine. They have such hits as: “Wind of Change”, “Still Loving You” Whether “Rock You Like a Hurricane”.

The musicians are not thinking about slowing down at all, and soon they will play, among others: European tour. Before that, however, they will do a short “tour” at the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

Unfortunately, the Scorpions’ singer does not have good news for Mexican fans – they had to cancel their performance at Vive Latino in the capital of the country almost at the last minute. All because 75-year-old Klaus Meine underwent a “complicated spine surgery” and did not recover in time.

“I am making good progress in my rehabilitation, but unfortunately I have not recovered as expected and after speaking with my medical team, I have been advised that a 12-hour flight and performing at 2,000 meters would prove difficult for anyone. I am not well enough to travel and give you the show you all deserve,” he wrote on social media.

He assured fans that he hopes to return to Mexico soon. “I am very sorry for causing inconvenience to all our loyal Mexican fans, as well as our wonderful promoters. I hope you understand,” he concluded.

Let us remind you that the only permanent member of the band has been present from the very beginning Rudolf Schenker. Four years later, Meine joined the group (he is also present on all studio albums), and in 1978 he became a member MatthiasJabs. The bassist from Wieliczka, that is Paweł Mąciwodajoined the group in 2003, and is the drummer Mickey Dee in 2016 – after the leader’s death Motorhead, in which he previously appeared. In 2022, Scorpions released their 19th album, “Rock Believer”.
