The series “Matylda” focuses on the story of teenage Matylda Bilińska, a rebellious 18-year-oldthe daughter of a wealthy landowner who, running away from her boarding house, finds shelter in the estate of family friends in Brzeziny. There, he continues to defy existing conventions, but also finds his first love. The action of the series takes place in 1879 in the Lublin region. The main role of Matylda Bilińska was played by Maria Kowalska. The actress from Wadowice is known, among others, from the series “Under the Surface”, where she played Aleksandra Kostrzewa, and the film “Porachunki” directed by Zuzanna Grajcewicz. She can also be seen in the latest adaptation of “The Quack” directed by Michał Gazda, where she played the role of Maria Wilczurówna.
