Amid the new wave of popularity of the series “Suits”, NBC announced that there will be a spin-off of the popular series about lawyers. Thanks to, among other things, this production, we could get to know Meghan Markle, currently Prince Harry’s wife, better. Will he return to acting after resigning from his official royal duties?
The latest series will be created under the supervision of the current creator of “Suits” – Aaron Korsh, who will also write the script for the pilot episode. What is the spin-off about and who will we see in the cast?
The action of the series will move to California, specifically to Los Angeles. The main role will be played by Lex Scott Davis (“The First Night of Purge”), who will star alongside Stephen Amell (“Arrow”).
Davis will play Erika Rollins, a star at a law firm who is willing to risk a lot, even the loyalty of her friends, to achieve her goal. Amell, in turn, will star as Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York who will try to find his place again in Los Angeles. For 15 years he has been co-running a “law firm specializing in criminal law and show business,” according to the station’s summary.
“His company is at crisis point and to survive he must take on a role he has despised throughout his career. Ted is surrounded by a group of distinguished colleagues who test their loyalty to both him and each other, as they cannot help but blend their personal and professional lives. All this happens as the events of the past slowly come to light and we learn why Ted left everything and everyone he loved,” NBC reports.
The station has only published the first names that we will see in the series. We will probably meet new people joining the cast in the coming months, because production of the series is not scheduled to start until the end of March.
