Sting played a concert in Łódź. A special evening with the greatest hits

Before the start of the tour, the organizers – Live Nation – announced that Sting will play the greatest hits, both from the band's repertoire The Police, as well as solo. That's exactly what happened. The singer came to Poland as part of a tour “My Songs Tour”and the Polish audience welcomed him with great enthusiasm.

The artist's repertoire included 22 songs, which is one less than at the concert in Gdańsk that took place the day before. The songs were presented in completely new versions, and the whole thing was a nostalgic journey through all stages of the singer's career.

The event started with support Giordana Angi – a French-Italian singer who promotes her latest album “Questa fragile bellezza”. After warming up the audience with the first concert, it was time for the performance of the artist everyone had been waiting for.

Sting started his show with three songs by The Police, including the hit “Message in a Bottle”. Then the singer went through, among others: By “Englishman in New York” and “Fields of Gold”.

It was expected that the artist would present the same setlist as the day before at Ergo Arena. Nothing could be further from the truth. Halfway through the concert, instead of “When We Dance” and “Fortress Around Your Heart” played in Gdańsk, the audience heard “When the Angels Fall” and “Why Should I Cry for You?”. Sting also decided not to play “Desert Rose” in Łódź.

At the end of the concert they rang out “Every Breath You Take”, “Roxanne” and “Fragile”. During great hits, the singer received the best backing vocals, as the audience sang along with him.

There is no denying that 72-year-old Sting is in phenomenal shape. He has been giving concerts constantly for several decades and never disappoints. The audience was delighted and thanked the artist with a standing ovation. Fans appreciate the peace that the singer conveys through his energy. Sting's concert is definitely one of the events worth experiencing.
