The series is a continuation of the film’s events “Black Panther: Wakanda in my heart”. Production focuses on the fate of a young, talented heroine Riri Williams, played by Dominique Thorne, who built technologically advanced armor, matching the achievements of the famous Iron Man. The first season consists of six episodes and I regret that I saw them.
Riri Williams is presented to viewers as Young genius who has great achievements at his fingertips. She became famous for the invention of the Vibranium detector. In comics, the girl is a student of Stark, but in the series she is presented to us as a faithful fan of the billionaire.
Trailers promised us a lot, but to tell the truth, in every episode I felt disappointed. At the very beginning, the heroine says that Stark it was easier to build armor because he had millions on his account. Yes, he had. Unfortunately, in the film from 2008 we learn that Iron Man created his first functional armor in a cave, practically from garbage.
Riri went to study as a 15-year-old, but after her behavior You can’t see the flashes of genius at all. Throwed out of the university, because she cannot adapt, it relies on technology, but allows you to pack your armor with magic of doctor about Strange.
The girl is looking for funds to implement her ideas and creates work for other students, thanks to whom they will be able not only to obtain positive grades from classes, but also scholarships. So why does she not apply for additional cash resources for her own ideas?
The series is cloudy and not very engaging. Really – I don’t care what will happen to the main character. In the case of other representatives of the young generation – MS. Marvel or Kate Bishop – I wanted to watch new episodes. The productions were not intrusive, they showed a fresh look at the beloved heroes and were simply “some”. Now we have received a heroine who is stereotypical to pain and without watching we can add her life story. There is no magic, surprises, even a minimum of surprises. Sometimes there is no implementation of good ideas that have potential.
The heroine survived a traumatic event that she is still haunting her. He tries to escape from it, though to no avail. After all, her story seems to be completely shallow and indifferent to viewers, and the heroes of the paper. Relations between them are irrelevant, and the heroine’s original motivations disappear in a sea of senseless actions.
Is it worth seeing the latest Marvel series? In my opinion no. Really – give up this screening and wait for cinema productions, because the series offers nothing. However, if you want to see for yourself what the story of Riri Williams talks about, the series is already available entirely on the Disney+platform.
