She made millions of Poles laugh with one cabaret song. What is Karolina Czarnecka doing today?

Karolina Czarnecka for years he has been moving around various fields of art and exploring their boundaries. She gained popularity thanks to the song “Hera coca hash LSD” (over 17 million views on the official TVP website and over 34 million on the unofficial link), which she made on Stage Song Review in Wrocław in 2014.

It's a cover of the song “Heroin and Cocaine” team The Tiger Lillies with Polish text written by the deceased in 2019. Roman Kołakowskidirector of PPA in 2006-2005, author of lyrics for songs performed by, among others, Voo Voo, Piotr Rubik, Justyna Steczkowska Whether Michał Bajor.

Her performance in a sweater and with very characteristic choreography performed with her hands, on the one hand, aroused admiration and entertained many Internet users, but there were also voices of indignation that Czarnecka was corrupting young people with a song about stimulants.

“I look at my debut with more distance, I don't judge myself so critically. I didn't encourage people to take drugs. I know it was perceived differently. The message was that the main character overdosed and went to heaven. It's a song about death. The song was a kind of fun “as much as I can afford,” she commented for Wideoportal, explaining the meaning of the song.

Czarnecka is also a puppeteer and theater actress. However, she did not abandon music. It operated, among others, in project Gang Śródmieściewho had the opportunity to perform at Open'er, and in 2017 released the album “Feminopolo”.

– We gave freedom to our vanities, needs and desires. For me it's also fun and I don't hide it. I also have a secret dream that even if something changes (in our country – editor's note), we will still sing and create – said Interia about the project.

Czarnecka also worked solo. In 2014, she released her debut solo EP “Córka”, which included – apart from the hit with PPA – the songs “Zjawa” and “Demakijaż” with guest participation LUC.

Four years later, Czarnecka's next album, “Solarium 2.0”, was released – promoted by the singles “Anaruk” and “Mojpokoj” – which is a kind of continuation of the story started on the first album. Her next release was the album “Cud” (2019).

In 2016, she made her debut on the big screen with a role in a musical “#All right”. Three years later she appeared in the film “Servants of War” Mariusz Gawryś.

In 2021, Czarnecka launched a new project – Córy. “It is an online space for teenagers to support them in finding their voice. It also includes personal development workshops, artistic classes and inspiring role models,” we read. A year later, the artist welcomed the baby into the world daughter Józefina.

Her latest project is very surprising. Czarnecka gave her voice to artificial intelligence, and the result was the recording of the song “DNO”.

“She generated it and sang it, learning my sounds. It's an amazing feeling, on the one hand terrifying, and on the other hand very taming a wild area. I don't know what to compare this experience to. It's like a myth about taming a wild animal, I feel we managed to achieve something like this,” Czarnecka said at the end of 2023 on Radio Dla Młodych and added that it was an “incredible feeling, on the one hand terrifying, and on the other, very taming of some wild area.”

In 2024 – less than 10 years after the memorable performance – Czarnecka returned to Stage Song Review in Wrocław. She was one of the concert participants Freak ShowNear Wrona and Małgorzata Ostrowska.
