Movie “On our own. The beginning” it gathered over 220,000 viewers in the first days of screening. She only did better this year “Mr. Kleks’ Academy” Maciej Kawulski, which was seen by 400,000 viewers.
The film also received positive reviews. Kuba Armata paid attention, among others, to the great Adam Bobik, who played the role of Pawlak. He expressed hope that “Sami swoi” will be the first of many successful leading roles for him.
The film highlights the origins of the conflicts between the Karguls and the Pawlaks. Artur Żmijewski was behind the camera. For a popular actor, known, among others, from “Na good and na bad” and “Ojca Mateusz”, it was his directorial debut. Karol Dziuba and Adam Bobik played the main roles. The cast also included Anna Dymna. Many years ago, the actress played the characters’ granddaughter – Ania.
The script was written by Andrzej Mularczyk, the creator of the original trilogy. The film will be an adaptation of his novel “Whose Life Have I Lived” and will tell the story of the Kargul and Pawlak families until they leave the former Borderlands for the so-called Recovered Territories.
