Information about the death of Łęska Pluta was published on social media on the profiles of TVP Info and the Chancellery of the Sejm. The journalist passed away after fighting a serious illness.
“She was a legend of the parliamentary corridors, the ‘journalistic corner’ and the ‘table’. Always well-versed, she knew all the nooks and crannies of the Polish parliament. MPs and senators respected her regardless of her seniority, party affiliation or changing terms of office,” we read in a post shared on her profile TVP Info on Facebook.
“Always helpful, especially to young journalists, liked and appreciated – for years she was a member of the jury selecting the best and worst parliamentarians by the weekly ‘Polityka’,” the rest of the message said.
“We are saddened by the news of the death of the late Renata Łęska-Pluta, a long-time journalist and coordinator of the Polish Television in the Parliament. She was always kind, cheerful and willing to help. Renia, thank you for the years we spent together in the building at Wiejska Street,” we read on the Law Firm’s profile Sejm on portal X.
