“Real Pain” is a new movie by famous Hollywood actor Jesse’Eisenberg’s ego. The production was shot in Poland. This is the story of cousins David (Eisenberg) and Benji (Kieran Culkin), who together they are going to Poland to honor the memory of their beloved grandmother. During this journey, they discover not only previously unknown places and facts from their family history, but also try to rebuild difficult and tense relationships.
Jesse Eisenberg, nominated for an Oscar for the main role in “The Social Network”, hired recognized specialists from Poland to produce his production. The work involved, among others, Michał Dymek (photos), Małgorzata Fudala (costumes), Olga Nejbauer (make-up) and Ewa Puszczyńska (production).
One of the reasons why Eisenberg undertook this project is the fact that he has Polish roots. The actor’s great-grandparents came from our country.
The Golden Globe nominations were recently announced. As it turns out – “True Pain” has a chance to win several statuettes!
The film will compete for awards for best screenplay and best comedy or musical.
The creator and one of the main actors in the film – Jesse Eisenberg – was nominated in the best actor in a comedy or musical category. In turn, Kieran Culkin, who accompanies him on screen, will compete for the statuette in the best supporting actor category.
“Real Pain” is still distributed in cinemas, but on streaming platforms is scheduled to debut on December 31. It will be available in the US on: Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV and Fandango at Home. This information is provided by Deadline.
Blu-Ray discs with the film will be available for purchase from February 4. They will also include a supplement: a documentary devoted to the making of the painting, “Beautiful Fate: Making A Real Pain”.
