Oscars 2024: Ryan Gosling will sing “I’m Just Ken” live. Who else will we see on stage?

As announced by Variety, citing anonymous informants, we will see the singer on stage at this year’s Oscars. Ryan Gosling. Star “Barbie” will perform live the song “I’m Just Ken” by Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt, which – like himself – has a chance for a statuette.

Gosling has often touched on his Oscar performance in subsequent interviews recently. “I haven’t been asked to do it yet. Maybe it’s too big a risk for me to sing it? I don’t know if it would work. But I’m open to the idea,” he argued.

Ronson also couldn’t imagine his song being sung by anyone else at the ceremony. “I believe that if Ryan doesn’t sing it, no one else will sing it,” he assured.

“I’m Just Ken” is one of two songs from the movie “Barbie” that was nominated for an Oscar. The second is “What Was I Made For?” Billie Eilish and Finneas. This last song is this year’s favorite in this category.

Gosling, in turn, has a chance to win in the best supporting actor category. This is his third nomination in his career. Previously, he was appreciated for his main roles in the films: “School Glimpse” and “La La Land”.

“Barbie” hit theaters on July 21, 2023. The film turned out to be the highest-grossing production of the season. It grossed $1.446 billion worldwide.

We also already know who, apart from Gosling, we will see on stage, because the names of the first people who will be awarded statuettes this year have been revealed. It has been confirmed that the Oscars will be presented by last year’s winners: Brendan Fraser, Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan and Jamie Lee Curtis.

In addition to them, the stage will also feature stars such as Zendaya, Al Pacino, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nicolas Cage, Jessica Lange, Mahershala Ali, Lupita Nyong’o, Matthew McConaughey and Sam Rockwell.

The ceremony of awarding the most important awards in the film world will take place on the night of March 10-11, Polish time.
