“Oppenheimer”: Finally! You can now watch the Oscar-winning film for free at home

“Oppenheimer” Christopher Nolan is the story of the titular physicist, called the “godfather of the atomic bomb”.

During World War II, Robert Oppenheimer served as the scientific director of the “Manhattan Project” – an undertaking to construct the first atomic bomb in history. After developing the deadly weapon, Oppenheimer became involved in activities aimed at limiting the use of nuclear weapons, becoming one of the greatest symbols of pacifism.

He played the title character Cillian Murphystar of such films as “Breakfast on Pluto”, “The Wind That Shakes the Barley” and the series “Peaky Blinders”.

The production also starred: Robert Downey Jr., Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Florence Pugh, Josh Hartnett, Matthew Modine, Casey Affleck, Rami Malek and Kenneth Branagh.

The film's script, written by Nolan, was based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin, “American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer”.

“Oppenheimer” turned out to be the biggest winner at this year's Oscars. The production received as many as seven statuettes, including the best film, director and two male roles: leading (Cillian Murphy) and supporting (Robert Downey Jr.). Additionally, cinematography (Hoyte van Hoitema), editing (Jennifer Lame) and music (Ludwig Göransson) were distinguished.

Nolan's work was also very popular in cinemas. It earned as much as $960 million.

At the end of last year, “Oppenheimer” hit VOD platforms. It could be rented or purchased, among others. on Prime Video and Apple TV+.

From March 21, the Oscar production is available on SkyShowtime. You can watch it there for free with a subscription.

Although the platform does not provide detailed viewing results, there is information that “Oppenheimer” was the most watched film in its history in the first days.
