Wirtualnemedia.pl reported that 61st National Festival of Polish Song in Opole will take place from May 31 to June 2. TVP has just announced recruitment for the Premieres and Debuts concerts, which take place every year as part of the event.
He became the artistic director of the festival Wojciech Iwańskidirector of the current edition “Dancing With The Stars. Dancing with the Stars” at Polsat (he has a contract with the company Jake Visionwhich produces this format) and previously worked at “I have a talent” and “The X Factor”. In the past, he also worked for TVP as a director and screenwriter of documentary films.
“Opole will be a song festival again, not a dance festival like in recent years. The orchestra will sit on stage, which will give it contact with the audience. This will have a significant impact on the reception of the festival” – says Iwański in an interview with Wirtualnemedia.pl.
The event will begin with a Premiere concert (the two winners will be selected separately by the audience and the jury), followed by a recital Michał Bajor, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary of artistic work. Iwański also announced changes in the Debuts competition (there will also be two winners). “It will be a symphonic concert with the participation of the Polish Radio orchestra and orchestra Adam Sztaba” – he says. The latter – remembered, among others, as a juror “Must be the music” at Polsat – he will also be the music director of the entire festival.
You can submit your candidacies for the Prime Minister until April 14. It is known that one of the maximum 10 participants will be Jan Góra – winner of the 14th edition of the program “The Voice of Poland”.
Applications for Debuts are accepted until March 24. Out of a maximum of seven participants, one will be selected by the City of Opole, and the other two will be the winners of the program “A chance for success. Opole 2024” (she won in the fall Dominika Dobrosielska).
The second day of the festival will bring a return to the tradition from years ago – a concert combined with a giveaway will be reactivated Super singlesas well as cabaret.
At the end of this year’s Opole festival, there will be a special concert dedicated to the lyricist’s work Janusz Kondratowicz. The creator, who died in 2014, was awarded many times in Opole. His lyrics were performed by, among others: Anna Jantar, Halina Frąckowiak, Irena Jarocka, Czerwone Gitary, Trubadurzy, Trzy Korony, Zdzisława Sośnicka, Krzysztof Krawczyk, Kasia Sobczyk, Andrzej Zaucha, Reserve, Hanna Banaszak, Top One Whether Gayga. The concert will feature mainly stars of the younger generation.
