New Prime Video series. “Legally Blonde” will return to screens

newest Prime Video's production will focus on events that took place before the story in the plot “Legally Blonde” (2001). “Elle” will tell the story of the high school days of future lawyer Elle Woods. According to information provided to PEOPLE magazine, the series will focus on deeper exploration of the life experiences that shaped the heroine into the iconic young woman we have come to know and love in the film.”

Laura Kittrell (“Insecure”) is to be responsible for the project. The main actress in the film, Reese Witherspoon will help develop the idea and become a producer the entire project. For her, continuing the project is a dream come true because she feels strongly connected to this story.

“Legally Blonde” (directed by Robert Luketic) was based on the novella of the same title by Amanda Brown. The plot follows the story of a blonde-haired sorority president and prom queen. When a beauty dressed in pink is abandoned by her lover, she decides to prove her worth to him and decides to study law at Harvard.

The film became a pop culture phenomenon and gave Witherspoon worldwide fame. In 2003, there was a sequel (“Legally Blonde 2”, directed by Charles Herman-Wurmfeld).
