It was with this song that the Dutchman became the representative of his country during the ongoing Eurovision Song Contest. According to bookmakers, he was one of the main favorites to win, but just before Saturday's grand final he was removed from the competition.
“The Swedish police investigated a complaint made by a member of the production crew following an incident that occurred after his performance in Thursday evening's semi-final. While the legal process continues, it would be inappropriate for him to continue participating in the Competition,” the statement reads. European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
“We have a zero-tolerance policy towards inappropriate behavior during our event and make every effort to ensure a safe working environment for all Competition employees. In light of this, Joost Klein's behavior towards a team member is considered a violation of the Competition rules,” the organizers continue to write. They also stressed that “no other contractor or member of the delegation was involved in this incident.”
Even before this incident, the details of the “europapa tour 2025” route were announced. As part of it, the singer will perform on March 12, 2025 at the Hydrozagadka Club in Warsaw. Ticket sales will start on May 14 at 14.
