The third volume of the “Italian Treasury” series – a collection containing comics created by the most famous Italian Disney cartoonists. Each volume is enriched with critical texts and a “Sketchbook” with curiosities and rare original drawings from the artist’s workshop. The six-volume series dedicated to Giorgio Cavazzan presents fifty of his most important works selected by the author himself. The third volume covers the years 1992–1994, when the Venetian master presented his modern artistic style to the whole world and became a “classic” comparable to the most highly rated creators of Disney comics. This is confirmed by the fact that he was entrusted with the task of creating first the cover of issue 2000 of the “Topolino” magazine – this beautiful watercolor is one of the most frequently recalled and reproduced paintings in Italy – and then the story on the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of Donald Duck in 1994, which was published in many countries. It was this year that Giorgio met Carl Barks, the first master of duck comics.
