Keith Flint’s death was a shock. The Prodigy’s touching words on the anniversary: ”You are always with us”

Recall that Keith Flint died on March 4, 2019 at the age of 49. The unconscious star was found around 8 a.m. at his home in Essex.

A week after Flint’s death, the British police published an official statement and preliminary autopsy results. According to their report, the singer The Prodigy died as a result of hanging. However, additional toxicological tests were ordered to dispel doubts.

It was later reported that Flint had taken an “alcohol and drug cocktail” before taking his own life.

During the last farewell, the singer was farewelled by an almost 2.5 km long procession made up of the group’s fans from all over the world. The private funeral ceremony was attended by, among others: wife Mayumi Kai (they were separated at the time of Flint’s death) and bandmates – Liam Howlett, Maxim and dancer Leeroy Thornhill (appeared in The Prodigy from 1990 to 2000).

After the singer’s death, Liam Howlett and Maxim canceled all planned concerts, including at the Glastonbury Festival. In mid-2020, the first information began to appear that the group (already composed of two people) would continue its activities. The first performances took place in Great Britain in connection with the 25th anniversary of the release of the album “The Fat of the Land”. Let us remind you that this album sold over 10 million copies and produced hits “Firestarter”, “Breathe” and “Smack My Bitch Up”.

A concert tour took place at the end of 2023 “Army of the Ants” (one of the stops was Poznań), during which they paid tribute to Keith Flint.

“Five years have passed. We miss you so much brother, you are always with us, right next to us. You will never fade away. We live forever!” – wrote Liam Howlett and Maxim on Instagram.
