“Just Not You”: A loud romantic comedy on VOD. Not long ago they played it in cinemas

“Just Not You” this is a new production Gluck's villa (“It's Just Sex”, “Annie”, “Peter Rabbit”) based on a script by Ilana Wolpert. The main roles were played by: the star of “Euphoria” Sydney Sweeney and known from “Top Gun: Maverick” GlenPowell. The film is a modern version of Shakespeare's “Much Ado About Nothing”.

Bea and Ben seem like the perfect couple, but after an amazing first date, something happens that turns their fiery relationship icy cold. At least until they unexpectedly meet at a wedding in Australia. So they do what two adults would do – they pretend to be a couple.

“It's a charming film-product skillfully tailored to suit every type of viewer. 'Just Not You' is full of hundreds of proven patterns (two young people pretend to be a couple and soon begin to fall in love with each other) and a few well-known solutions. Interestingly, however, this romantic comedy “it's spicy”, and we haven't seen such frivolous cinema for a long time,” wrote our reviewer Jan Tracz.

“Stylistically, 'Only You' is reminiscent of cult comedies from the 2000s, which were characterized by: fast pace, unsophisticated humor, pathological plot solutions and a pair of perfectly matched actors. As lofty as it may sound, such films are no longer made today. Producers ( (and, by the way, filmmakers) have long moved away from concise “postcard” cinema, in which depth and dialogue are replaced by weak jokes, quarrels between lovers, kisses and long-lasting sex scenes. It's a pity, because “Just Not You” proves that We need these kinds of films more than ever today,” he assured.

“Only Not You” debuted in Polish cinemas on March 1. Meanwhile, the film will debut on VOD on April 30. It will enrich the offer of Apple TV, where it will be available for viewing for less than PLN 55.
