First “Last Summer’s Nightmare” was released in 1997. He told the story of a group of young people who, while returning from a party, hit a strange man. The new “Nightmare of Last Summer” will continue the story of the 1998 sequel. Starring Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers, Jonah Hauer-King, Chase Sui Wonders, Billy Campbell, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Gabbriette, Austin Nichols and Lola Tung. It is directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, who also co-wrote the screenplay.
The film will ignore the events of “Next Summer’s Nightmare”, which was released on DVD in 2006, and the eight-episode Prime Video platform series, which premiered in 2021.
The new “Nightmare of Last Summer” will hit theaters on July 18, 2025.
