Irena Santor is recovering after surgery. “I'm getting my strength back”

Irena Santor she is called “the first lady of Polish song” and “the purest voice of the Polish stage”. Hits like “There are no more wild beaches”, “No one will give these years back”, “A small apartment in Mariensztat” whole generations hummed. During her career, Santor not only delighted with her voice, but also devoted herself to charity work.

No wonder the audience devoted to the idol still cares about her fate. Especially since Irena Santor did not have any children, and her beloved Zbigniew Korpolewski died five years ago. Immediately after the procedure, in an interview with “Fakt”, the 89-year-old Polish song star admitted that after the recent procedure to remove stones from the urinary tract, she feels better and is regaining her full strength in the comfort of her home. During this time, she could count not only on warm words from fans, but also on the care of close friends. “I am under their angelic protection,” admitted Santor.

“I am already regaining my strength. I am under the care of wonderful doctors and friends on whom I can always count. I intend to enjoy life for a long time, and the approaching spring fills me with joy,” he now comments for “Super Express”.

Despite this, she decided to move for a few weeks to the Home of Veteran Artists of Polish Stages in Skolimów, which offers 24-hour care. “I came to Skolimów for a few weeks. I'm recovering here after the surgery I underwent. There is a beautiful garden here, where I walk with my friends. We pick up our poles and walk. The artist's house in Skolimów is a wonderful place, worth recommending,” she explained.
