Anne Rice's novel “Interview with the Vampire” was released in the United States in 1976. It was published in Poland a few years later, but it gained popularity just as quickly. In 1994, a film of the same title was released, an adaptation of the first novel in the series “The Vampire Chronicles”.
Let us remind you that “The Vampire Chronicles” is a series of novels consisting of twelve volumes (including “Interview with the Vampire”, “Lestat the Vampire”, “Queen of the Damned”, “The Tale of the Body Thief”). “The Chronicles…” presents the fate of vampires over the centuries. The main characters are Lestat, Louis, Amand, David Talbot and Pandora.
The first season of the series was wonderfully received by viewers and critics. In June we will see the second installment of the serieswhich will consist of eight episodes. Filming took place in Prague, Paris and New Orleans.
“The Vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac (JacobAnderson) tells his life story to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian). Referring to the events in New Orleans in 1940, Louis talks about his adventures in Europe, his quest to discover Old World vampires and the Theater Des Vampires in Paris. It is also in this city that Louis first meets the vampire Armand (Assad Zaman). Their fleeting romance will prove to have devastating consequences both in the past and in the future“- we read in the description of the second series.
The premiere of season 2 will take place on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 10 p.m. on AMC, and subsequent episodes will be broadcast on Thursdays at the same time.
