Bronisław Bandik, known to viewers as “Bandi”, after winning the fourth season of the program “Farm” he began to experience a reality that he had not even thought about before. The Golden Forks not only opened the door to the world of television, but also made him recognizable both in large cities and in his own backyard in Babia Góra. Each day brings new meetings, smiles and short conversations with people who recognize him from the screen. As he himself admits, the viewers’ reactions are a huge surprise to him, especially because most often he hears sincere, warm words and sees the joy of people who approach him for a photo or a handshake.
This spontaneous sympathy makes “Bandi” remember his participation in the program with gratitude. The victory showed him from the side from which his loved ones have known him for years, but only Polsat viewers noticed his naturalness, calmness and sense of humor. These are the features that many fans believe were his greatest strength during competition.
Although competition in the program was part of the television fun, relationships with other participants turned out to be much more lasting. “Bandi” emphasizes that the group of farmers that viewers watched on screen remain in constant contact to this day. News, conversations, shared memories – all this found a natural continuation after the end of the program.
At the winner’s initiative, a joint May Day celebration was also held on his farm. The meeting, which he talks about with great fondness, was an opportunity for long conversations, singing highlander songs and returning to anecdotes from the set. As he himself says, it is moments like these that show that “The Farm” was more than just a program for the participants. It became the beginning of friendships that – despite the kilometers separating them – remain alive.
The winner of the fourth season received a prize of PLN 100,000 and quickly decided how to use it. The priority was surprisingly simple – the happiness of the closest person. His wife, Mrs. Iwona, smiled and admitted that her dream had come true because “Bandi” bought her… a cow. Blueberry, as that is her name, immediately became a beloved resident of the farm and proof that sometimes a big win turns into a very personal gift.
The rest of the money was allocated to the development of their agritourism. Thanks to the investment, it was possible to equip the houses, build new fences and create a playground for children, which is already a delight for the youngest tourists. The jacuzzi with a view of Babia Góra and the Tatra Mountains was also a hit among the guests, adding a unique character to the rest. The host himself repeats that “money is worth investing, so it is worth investing”, which is why he did not delay the decision and immediately allocated the winnings to specific improvements.
For “Bandi”, participation in the program was not only a television adventure, but also an impulse for development and bolder decisions. He gained popularity, strengthened his farm and, above all, created moments that he, his wife and other participants, remember to this day. His story shows that winning a reality show can be the beginning of real change if it happens to a person who can use it wisely.
The new, fifth season of the “Farm” program will soon appear on Polsat and it seems that viewers will be happy to return to this world, where everyday life meets competition, and simple life on a farm becomes an inspiration for thousands of viewers. If the story of “Bandi” is any indication of what awaits the next participants, there will certainly be no shortage of emotions.
