Is this the best movie of all time? That’s what Quentin Tarantino says!

Quentin Tarantinoone of the most important and recognizable directors of contemporary cinema, confessed in one of the interviews what kind of production he considers it to be “the best movie ever made”. Interestingly, it does not resemble the works for which he is famous.

In an interview on the ReelBlend podcast, Tarantino confessed that considers it the best film in history legendary work of Steven Spielberg.

“I think ‘Jaws’ is the best film ever made. Maybe not the best film work, but it’s the best film ever made,” said the director.

In his opinion, the production is the perfect combination of technical mastery and exciting entertainment. He also pointed out that in this context the word “movie” refers to a spectacular, commercial blockbuster. It is Spielberg who is credited with the birth of this genre.

“There is nothing ‘better’ than ‘Jaws’. It is the best film ever made,” concluded Tarantino.

“Jaws” directed by Spielberg, was based on the best-selling novel by Peter Benchley and started the fashion for summer blockbusters. They turned out to be a huge financial success, which resulted in three sequels. June 20, 2025 marked 50 years since its premiere.
