He shouted to the star and it started. “If they don’t shut up, I’ll leave!”

John Mellencamp he became very irritated during a recent concert in Toledo (Ohio). The folk rock star started telling anecdotes during the songs, and at one point he was interrupted by an impatient fan. He demanded that he “finally play some music.”

Mellencamp became furious and immediately went on the attack without mincing words. “What do you think I’m doing, you b********? Listen, you don’t know me. You don’t f***ing know me. Hey Joe, find this guy and let me see him after the concert,” he shouted to the viewer.

The off-balance artist continued the story when someone started demanding again – this time for the song “Authority Song”. “Okay, I can stop the show now and just go home,” he told the crowd. “I’ll tell you what I’ll do. Because you guys were so great, I’m going to cut about 10 songs from the show. Here we go,” he said and played a few seconds of “Jack & Diane.” He stopped and after a while he announced: “You know what? The show is over.”

According to the Toledo Blade website, Mellencamp returned after five minutes and played a few more songs. He allegedly told another viewer that he “should go back to kindergarten.”

Last May in Cleveland, during one story, someone also shouted at him to “play f***ing music.” “Listen, if these people don’t shut up, I’ll just leave, okay?” – threw. “Because I’m not used to this kind of treatment. Look, if I wanted to play in such a drunken environment, I would play outside or in the arena,” he said. Earlier, he also told one viewer to “keep his mouth shut.”
