After his great success, the world quickly forgot about the musician. In 2011, he suspended his career, and in recent years he has released several versions of his greatest hit. The last one was released at the end of March 2024.

Daniel Powter decided to remember himself in “Got Talent”. The singer appeared in the Canadian edition of the show. There, the jurors initially had no idea who they were dealing with. “My name is Daniel and I am a singer and songwriter,” he said and announced that he would sing his own song.

“I'm always afraid when someone says they will sing their own composition, because you are choosing something that is a risk. You are taking a big risk now,” he commented. Howie Mandelstill having no idea who he was talking to.

After a while, Powter began singing, and the audience was surprised to hear the popular song. The jurors also began to look at each other with surprise. When they realized who the participant was, they got up from their seats.
