Elżbieta Dmoch in the fall of 2022 she was hospitalized. The 72-year-old singer received medical help thanks to the quick help of friends and devoted fans.
Thanks to the support of the Polish Music Foundation (since 2003 it has been helping musicians in difficult situations, their families and loved ones), the renovation of the Warsaw apartment of the band’s star was organized Two Plus One. His condition was terrible and did not create conditions for a healthy and dignified life (the singer currently uses a walker).
Tomasz Kopec, that is, the president of the foundation confessed that the artist herself needed help in moving, which is why she agreed to help in the form of a walking frame. “I feel more confident and secure with him when I leave the apartment to do my business,” he explains.
As we read in “Dobry Tygodnia”, work on the premises is progressing. The president of PFM revealed that the star already has a new kitchen, bathroom and living room. If Dmoch agrees, work on renovating the bedroom will begin in spring. The money that remains from the fundraising for renovation will be used for its subsequent operation.
“We will make transfers to the Housing Cooperative’s account from the Foundation from January 2024 until the funds are exhausted. Thanks to this, Elżbieta Dmoch will have slightly more funds from her modest pension,” says the president.
We also know what condition the Two Plus One star is currently in. Kopeć assured that her condition was good and that she could count on her friends if necessary. “He visits the clinic, takes medicines and takes care of himself,” added the president of PFM.
Despite mobility problems, the 72-year-old singer is so fit that she does not need someone to live with her permanently for emergency help. “(Elżbieta) is doing well,” revealed Tomasz Kopeć.
Recently, the singer sent short greetings to her fans.
The singer gained popularity in the band 2 plus 1. The group’s greatest hits include: “Come paint the world” Whether “Hey, I’ll catch up with summer”. And although she was one of the most recognizable and popular singers, after many difficult moments in her life she receded into the background. Ex-wife Janusz Kruk (they divorced in 1989 due to his infidelity). The former spouses maintained friendly relations.
According to some, Dmoch still believed that Kruk would come back to her. On June 18, 1992, Janusz Kruk unexpectedly died of a heart attack at the age of 45. Elżbieta Dmoch was deeply affected by the death of her ex-husband, withdrawing from public and artistic life for years.
“Contact with Ela is difficult. She has lost contact with reality,” he once said in “Super Express” Andrzej Rybiński.
The singer withdrew from media life. She took part in a short reactivation of 2+1 at the turn of 1998 and 1999, and her last stage performance took place on June 15, 2002 in Łomża, where, together with young members of the band, PopArt performed the greatest hits from her repertoire.
He currently lives in his mother’s apartment. No luxuries, quite modest.
“It’s good the way it is. I don’t like feeling sorry for myself,” she told “Fakt” journalists in 2019.
Apart from this short conversation, he does not give interviews. She distanced herself from her former friends and other members of Two Plus One. According to Cezary Szlązak (the musician died in August 2019) receives a modest pension and royalties, thanks to which he has enough to live on.
“I will never go back to singing. This is a closed chapter. I have lost my love for music and people don’t care about it,” said Elżbieta Dmoch.
