‘Dead Boy Detectives’: Netflix Cancels Series It Previously Saved, Results Disappointing

“Dead Boy Detectives” is a screen adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s comic book. The title characters initially appeared in “Sandman”, and after some time they got their own series. The series was initially supposed to hit the Max platform, but after a change of plans, the series was saved by Netflix. Now the series has been canceled – its viewing figures probably left much to be desired.

The series debuted on the website on April 25. Since its premiere, it has appeared in Netflix’s weekly TOP 10 only three times, once taking second place in this chart – right behind “The Reindeer”.

“In this new series from the Sandman universe, two teenagers find themselves in a dark land and will stop at nothing to be together – even if it means escaping from evil witches. With Crystal’s help, they work to solve the most mysterious supernatural mysteries” – Netflix describes the plot of the series.
