Maybe because I feel a child inside myself,” he confessed. The artist admitted that his choice is not accidental. He studied pedagogy, he also had experience in working with children who – as he emphasizes – made him realize how demanding the role of the parent is. “I know that children also give a lot of luck and probably later all these beautiful moments give all the effort, but I do not want to try” – he explains.
Relationship with my best friend
The king has been living in a relationship with Iwona for years, who is not only his wife, but also a stage collaborator. “Iwona is my best friend with whom I can get bored, although we never get bored with each other,” says the musician.
The history of their knowledge sounds almost like a ready film script. They met by accident – she worked as a bartender, a year later they were married. Interestingly, Iwona only thanks to her husband began to be interested in music. “She never played any instrument, she didn’t sing. She began to be interested in music with me, when she was 35 she enrolled in the piano lessons. She began to write lyrics. I criticized her a bit, of course she was nervous, improved them and I think that it came out very nice” – recalls the king.
Today, Iwona performs under the pseudonym Sujka, records her own songs and is planning an autumn concert tour. The king does not hide that he enjoys its development, although it means less in common. “I can always count on her honesty,” she emphasizes, adding that since the wife took care of music, he has been his sharpest critic.
“Ash” – the most personal album of the king
On September 26, the eighth solo album of Błażej King was released entitled “Ash”. It is the artist’s publishing house himself as the most personal in his career. This time he decided to speak directly, gave up excess metaphors and returned to the guitar sound, from which he was running towards electronics in recent years.
The king has been considered one of the most important creators of the Polish alternative scene for years. His concerts attract faithful listeners, and subsequent publications gain high assessments of critics.
Already on October 5, a concert tour promoting the latest material will start in Toruń.
