Barry Keoghan Joins ‘Peaky Blinders’ Movie Cast, Fans Expect Sequel

“Peaky Blinders” is a historical drama that has been loved by the whole world. The plot focuses on the fate of Thomas Shelby (Cillian Murphy), who, together with his older brother Arthur (Paul Anderson) and his aunt Polly (Helen McCrory) are the leaders of a criminal gang in Birmingham. The feared Peaky Blinders gang takes its name from the hats they wear with razor blades sewn into them.

The series ran from 2013 to 2022 and has six seasons. It was recently announced that it will also receive a film sequel, which will be written by the series’ creator – Steven Knight. The film is being made for Netflix.

Cillian Murphy, who plays Tommy Shelby in the series, will return in the film and will also be producing it. In the entry on the X platform, shared by Netflix, we can read the actor’s statement: “It looks like Tommy Shelby isn’t finished with me yet. “Working with Steven Knight and Tom Harper again on a film version of ‘Peaky Blinders’ is very satisfying. It’s going to be something for the fans.”

He will also be joined by Rebecca Ferguson. It is not known at this time who he will play.

Irish actor Barry Keoghan has joined the cast of the highly anticipated film sequel. The BAFTA Award-winning actor’s role in Ghosts of Inisherin is being kept under wraps, as is Ferguson’s character.

Knight revealed in an interview with Deadline in April this year that the film would be set during World War II.
