It’s hard to believe that Barbara Mularczyk will soon turn forty (at the beginning of April). When on March 16, 1999, we saw her for the first time as Mariolka in “Świat dla Kiepskich”, she was only 15 years old.
“I was a child. I grew up with my heroine and I can confidently say that the cast of the series is my second family,” she said recently, recalling the beginnings of her career.
It seemed that Barbara was born for acting. However, she had no intention of devoting her life to this profession and after graduating from high school, she chose a completely different profession.
“I am an actress of one role, which I love,” she admitted years later in an interview with Pomponik.
The series’ Mariolka Kiepska never hid that her primary goal was to finish her studies and start a family.
“That was the most important thing and I succeeded,” he says.
Barbara is a graduate of the Faculty of Journalism and Social Communication at one of the universities in Wrocław, and since 2011 she has been walking through life alongside Rafał Potocki, with whom she had two children: in 2012, their daughter Aleksandra was born, and 4 years later the family expanded about Janek.
“It is very difficult to combine pursuing a career with being a full-time mother. The period when children are small is extremely important, I wanted to have as much time for them as possible,” Barbara recalls.
“Now I have more time, it’s easier, so I will start going to castings,” Pomponika promised the reporter a year and a half ago after the great Jubilee Gala on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Polsat.
Barbara Mularczyk finally decided to return in front of the camera. As “Życie na hot” found out, a few weeks ago she joined the cast of “District of Fear” (broadcast on TV Puls 2 every day – starting from March 4 – from Monday to Thursday at 9 p.m.). She took on the task of playing the distraught mother of a 7-year-old boy who was kidnapped from a playground.
“She was given an interesting role, and the producers assure that she fit into it perfectly,” we read in the weekly.
The star of “The World According to Kiepskich” will only appear in one of the episodes of “District of Fear”, but – as he jokes – it’s a good start. The actress intends to prove that she is not just Mariolka.
“The fact that I am associated with her doesn’t bother me at all. When I found out that ‘Kiepscy’ was going off the air, I was sad. But… I knew it would happen someday,” she says, adding that she would like her adventure with acting continued.
