Angela McCluskey is dead. She sang in the hit “Breathe”

Angela McCluskey she died on Thursday, March 14. The singer had been in a coma for several days after undergoing emergency surgery due to the rupture of an aneurysm.

The artist’s death was announced on her Instagram.

“We are devastated that our beloved Angela left us with her beloved angels. No one enjoyed life more than her, no one was more generous and sang so much. Angela sang with every breath she took. Her life was like a song, and she was music,” it was written.

Angela McCluskey She started her career in the 1990s. In 1992, together with a friend Shark she founded a rock band Wild Colonials. The band signed a contract with the label Geffen, and in 1994 their debut album “Fruit of Life” was released. In total, the group recorded 3 albums and one EP.

After ending her activities with Wild Colonials, McCluskey focused on her solo career, recording 3 albums and 3 EPs. Her latest release – “The Roxy Sessions” – published in 2016.

The singer’s greatest popularity was brought by her collaboration with a French band creating electronic music – Telepomusik. It is her vocal voice that can be heard in the group’s great hit – “Breathe” – which in the following years was used many times in various types of advertisements broadcast all over the world, including in Poland.

McCluskey contributed to four songs on the group’s debut album “Genetic World”. She also appeared as a guest on the French’s second album – “Angel Milk”.

The artist last performed on stage in November 2023 as part of a concert in memory of Robbie Robertson.
