Night in Kazimierz with WFO. Witold Janiak Trio concert: On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of WFO, a unique concert of Krzysztof Komeda's music combined with the premiere of the album “Krzysztof Komeda. Kraksa” from Edward Etler's films made at WFO, released together with Wytwórnia GAD Records. Witold Janiak's trio (Marek Kądziela, Kacper Kaźmierski) proves that not everything has been said about the music of this outstanding jazzman.

May 30, Kijów Studio (streaming on YouTube, Facebook)

Godfrey Reggio Masterclass (online): According to Godfrey Reggio, art is the ability to provoke and ask questions. The critical moment is coming, a chance to find a way out. Experience, emotion, perception – we have to find our way in the thicket of meanings and clues presented to us by language, culture and civilization. During the meeting there will be questions asked, conversations and discovering what is already known.

May 31, Potocki Palace

Masterclass by Jacek Petrycki: During a master class by Jacek Petrycki, an excellent cinematographer and director, we will consider how documentary films influence the landscape of cinema. The winner of this year's Dragon of Dragons will talk about the global reactions to some of the films he visually co-created, the role of archiving materials, the phenomenon of found footage films and how these techniques contribute to the creation of authentic narratives in documentary cinema.

May 31, Italian Cultural Institute

Screening of the film “Berchidda Live” directed by Gianfranco Cabiddu, Michelle Mellara, Alessandro Rossi and meeting with the creators and invited guests: The Time in Jazz festival is organically linked to the place where it has been held since 1988, i.e. the town of Berchidda in Sardinia. In beautiful natural surroundings you can absorb various musical traditions, and the film is a portrait of this atmospheric event and the people who create it.

May 31, MANGGHA Museum of Japanese Art and Technology

Screening of the film “Strong Man”, dir. Henryk Szaro (Poland 1929, 88') with live music by Piotr Orzechowski and Kuba Więcek: Henryk Szaro's film is an adaptation of the novel by Stanisław Przybyszewski, formally referring to German expressionism. This psychological drama showing the subsequent stages of the artist's moral decline, considered lost for almost 70 years, is one of the last Polish films of the silent film era. Piotr Orzechowski and Kuba Więcek will perform live for the film.

June 1, Kijów Cinema

CLOSING FILM: Premiere of the film “All Inclusive” by Małgorzata Szumowska and Michał Englert: Małgorzata Szumowska and Michał Englert once again offer non-obvious, original cinema. Characteristic documentary talking heads meet here with musical scenes and existential drama, and naturalists with professional actors, such as Andrzej Chyra or Izabela Kuna. The filmmakers will take part in the screening.

The 64th Krakow Film Festival will be held in cinemas from May 26 to June 2, 2024 and online at KFF VOD from May 31 to June 16, 2024.
