26-year-old rapper Bigidagoe has died – a man died in a shooting that took place during the “One night in Amsterdam” event at the Rhone Congress Center. Although the event itself passed without major incidents, there was a deadly exchange of fire outside.
Bigidagoe (born Danzel Silos) was hit by bullets on February 25 at around 5:30 a.m. near Amsterdam Sloterdijk station. After the attack, he was taken to hospital, where he died a short time later. One of the witnesses admitted that he tried to help him, but “the pulse was very weak.”
The silo was known by its nickname, which means “big dog” in Surinamese. He performed the Dutch version of American gangsta rap from the turn of the 1980s and 1990s. He also performed drills.
The incident took place as part of a power struggle between the Zone 6 group (to which the rapper belonged) and another gang. The criminal organization is associated with, among others, with trade in illegal substances.
The media reminds that Bigidagoe survived one attack in 2020, and the next day his mother’s house was attacked – he managed to escape both of them unscathed. The 26-year-old was one of nine suspects in the December 2022 kidnapping of Kobus L., another rapper. The man faced 4 years in prison.
