Will “The Boys” and “Gen V” Create a Large Universe? Eric Kripke Clears Up Doubts!

Universe “The Boys” superheroes. So it’s no surprise that there was also space to show a special university for “sups”. And will any of the graduates eventually make it to “The Seven” – a group of supercelebrities who basically rule America? The creator of the series, Eric Kripke, answers.

A spin-off titled “Gen V” expanded the “The Boys” universe with more suppers, their powers and new problems. In a recent interview with “TVLine”, Eric Kripke revealed the answer to a question that fans have been asking for some time: Will Godolkin’s students join “The Seven”? The creator openly replied that this would not happen. He justified his answer by saying that he did not want to force viewers to watch both series to fully enjoy the production.

“I want, if I can, to avoid the situation where watching both shows starts to feel like homework. If you want to watch ‘Gen V,’ great! If you don’t want to watch it, great too. For me, making the main character of one show the main character of the other series seems… “I think it’s going a step too far,” Eric Kripke said in an interview.

The series “The Boys” often mocks Marvel and Disney’s business strategy. In one of the episodes of season 4, we can even observe an event resembling one of those during which Disney presents its several-year plans and premieres of new productions.

Marvel has created a whole web of connections between various films and series, and a new fan has a very difficult task when trying to “enter” the universe for the first time. Eric Kripke does not want to repeat this mistake.

The first episodes of season 4 of “The Boys” debuted on Prime Video on June 13. The first season of “Gen V” is completed, but work on the sequel had to be postponed due to the death of the actor playing one of the main characters.
